What is the egger system
The egger feel-good climate goes one step further than ordinary heaters or air conditioners: Instead of heating (or cooling) the air around us, the surfaces surrounding us are brought to the optimal temperature and radiate it.
Once this temperature is reached, the surface temperature of the surfaces surrounding us is almost equal to the temperature of the body surface. This feels particularly pleasant for women and men - we talk about "thermal balance".
When tempering the surfaces it is important to know: The energy required is much lower than with classic heating systems. In addition, a more pleasant indoor climate is created and, in addition to the much lower energy costs, there are usually lower acquisition costs.
The approach of changing the indoor climate for people offers much more potential for energy savings than the traditional way of energy efficiency through the technology of boiler, pump, furnace, etc., or the source of energy. See also our heating systems comparison.
How does egger's feel-good climate principle work?
1. thermal balance of man, instead of energy demand of the house.
For people to feel comfortable, they must be able to give off heat to the right degree. However, it must not be too cold for this. The surfaces surrounding us must have the correct temperature in relation to the body surface temperature. The air temperature plays only a minor role in our well-being.
We do not perceive it as too cold or too warm if the floor, walls and ceiling radiate heat to the environment in the right measure. The prerequisite for feeling good is always that we humans do not lose or absorb too much body heat during this process.
And it is precisely this principle that the egger system uses: the physical principle of thermal radiation.
The fact that our well-being is independent of the air temperature is something that everyone has experienced for themselves. In the spring months, the measured air temperature is often still in the single-digit degree Celsius range. Actually, that's way too cold for humans. Nevertheless, you can even sit in the sun in a T-shirt and feel really comfortable.
How to do it? This is due to the heat radiation emitted by the sun. The air hardly takes this temperature. However, on man as a solid body, this radiant heat acts immediately.
Like the sun, every solid body can radiate heat. The sun would be much too warm for a living room. However, if the surfaces surrounding us have a temperature that is comfortable for us, then they radiate this to the room and we feel "pudelwohl".
2. technical generation change: parallel instead of serial water flow
The egger feel-good climate is not the only heating system that makes use of radiant heat. Any underfloor heating does. And this is exactly the reason why classic underfloor heating is perceived as so energy efficient (about 20% less energy costs) and pleasant in contrast to the old radiator.
The egger principle, however, goes one step further technically: With egger, the liquid is guided in the tubes in parallel and not serially (serpentine). This system is named after its inventor Tichelmann system.
This means that if the water has to travel 13 meters per square meter for the same surface area with conventional underfloor heating systems, it only travels 2 meters with the egger system.
How much does the egger system cost?
Christian Egger, inventor of the egger feel-good climate, has further developed the Tichelmann system to the point where it is ready for series production and highly technical. Meanwhile, the egger system is manufactured from 100% recyclable plastic (polypropylene random copolymer) in an automated process at its Tyrolean production facility.
Thanks to automated further development:
- Purchase is easy & cost effective: The egger system costs the same or often even less to purchase than conventional heating systems.
- Energy costs unbeatably low: The egger system is significantly less expensive to operate than radiators or classic floor heating systems.
- 20-year warranty: The egger system has significantly less material wear and offers a 20-year warranty!

Frequently asked questions about the egger system
Can I hang pictures despite wall tempering
What happens if I drill into a register or hit it with a nail?
Will it be warm enough only with a floor temperature control?
What is the minimum area I need?
How quickly does the system respond?
Without insulation, don't I heat too much to the outside?
What plasters can I use?
Is it possible to bend the registers (for vaults or irregular stone walls)?
Is the system filled with normal water?
What is the shelf life of these registers?
Are there already references?
Yes. There are numerous references that you can also contact yourself. Please contact us so that we can provide you with an appropriate contact. In addition, you can find a few customer testimonials on our about us page.
I have a thermal insulation composite system (ETICS) on the outer facade - will the system still work?
Are there any grants available?
How do I know exactly where the registers are? How can I determine the position of the register pipes?
- With the help of a wall scanner, which we are happy to provide.
- In heat mode, lightly spray the wall with water and observe evaporation.
- With the help of a thermal imaging camera.
Can I still put furniture on the walls?
Will it be warm enough only with a wall tempering?
Is a ceiling tempering enough?
Which heat source do I need (gas, oil, solar, photovoltaic, district heating, heat pump...)?
What materials can I use as topsoil?
Can the system also be used in drywall construction?
How to cool with it?
Won't deposits form then?
Can I renovate my house in several steps?
How much can I save with it?
Up to 90 % are possible. This depends on the current heating system and the area of the new tempered surfaces. The more surface area, the greater the savings potential, since with large surface area the supply temperature can be kept very low.
How long will the renovation take?

What customers say about the egger system:
During the core renovation of our very old house with 120 m² living space, a low construction height was a critical point. With the egger system, this bottleneck could be successfully solved thanks to only 2 cm of structure.
At first I respected installing the registers myself, but with egger's training and planning I succeeded very well. They were installed in all rooms on the floor and exterior walls. The necessary energy is supplied by solar panels and a heat pump, so it can be cooled pleasantly even in summer.
We now live the 2nd winter in the house and even my wife has never been cold. She always notes that we have a comfortable temperature, but you can't tell where it's coming from!
Now all that was missing was the right system to distribute the energy provided in the best possible way in the container. The functionality of the egger system convinced me and the 20-year warranty gave me the necessary security.
Mounting egger registers raises some essential questions at the beginning. How many registers can be connected together? How long can lines be? With the provided instructions, this was quickly cleared up and the system installed.
During installation, the correct arrangement of the heating circuits and the use of welding equipment posed a particular challenge. In this regard, I would like to thank you again for the super tutorial!
In our house we have installed the registers almost exclusively as wall heating. At least one exterior wall and, depending on the use of the room, other wall surfaces. The registers were then plastered with clay plaster, an ideal combination! In the bathroom we have additionally laid egger registers in the floor, who likes cold tiles after showering.
As a doctor, I immediately recognized the crucial difference between conventional heating and the egger feel-good climate and implemented it in my private home (renovation). The comfort and well-being experience is fascinating and definitely an essential part of our health. I am extremely satisfied with it.
In our new building, we invested (slightly skeptically) in two innovations: a new type of experience gastronomy on the farm and the egger feel-good climate. Both have been enthusiastically received by our customers and we ourselves are very surprised and fascinated by the benefits of the feel-good climate, especially the extremely fast response time and the very low heating water temperature.
After a short explanation by Christian Egger, it was immediately clear to us that we should equip our new yoga center (600 m2) with egger feel-good climate. Due to the fact that our customers are in thermal balance with the yoga room, the body can fully concentrate on yoga and thus achieve the best possible success (regeneration, store vital energy ...). Our customers are totally fascinated by the climate in the yoga center and enjoy it.
The two most important points for my decision were the energy required and how complex the installation is.
In my 160 m² house I only need a 9 kW heat pump and thanks to the support provided the installation was very feasible. So both points fully met!
