Daniel Huber’s apartment is located in Maurach on the beautiful Achensee in Tyrol. He is a master painter and has been working with clay plaster for quite some time.
Clay plaster is, in principle, a clay plaster without “contamination”. The main component of clay plaster is clay. In addition, there are earth, stones and sand. Clay plaster is, due to the purity, at lower plaster thicknesses.
(as clay plaster) more effective in absorbing and regulating moisture and air purification.
Daniel decided to equip his apartment with clay plaster because of these very positive qualities. Since he is also very keen on coziness and comfort, he really wanted to have the radiators removed and go for panel heating. The unhealthy and swirling air of radiator heated rooms does not fit the concept of healthy clay plaster. The living area with kitchen and entrance area should be the first, the other rooms will follow.
He decided on a solution with egger underfloor and egger wall heating. To do this, he removed the floor (tiles). The screed was preserved. He roughened and sanded the walls so that the old paint would not affect the properties of the clay.
The egger registers were placed on the floor with a 20 mm thick leveling compound. On them directly laid the new flooring. The egger stops were embedded on the wall in a total of 25 mm clay plaster.
Now that his girlfriend enjoys the, according to the quote, “brilliant indoor climate” in the living area, the other rooms must follow as soon as possible!
