How does egger workshop heating work in detail?
Surface temperature control is the name of the system behind the egger feel-good climate. In the process, we heat (or cool) the floor, wall and/or ceiling. What areas we temper depends on several factors: Your wishes, existing elements of the room (windows, columns, etc.), necessary functions that need to be maintained or created (sliding doors, partitions, etc.).

The way it works is quickly explained: heated floors, walls or ceilings give off heat to your surroundings via radiation. When they are cooled, they extract heat from your environment. With the right setting, we create a comfortable climate for you, in which you feel the temperature is perfect.
The principle is similar to the heat radiation of the sun. Since no gas (=air) is heated or cooled during surface temperature control, the system also functions independently of air exchange (e.g.: open gate, etc.). It stays warm or cold – depending on what you want at the moment.

If your hall requires a concrete floor, the egger temperature control system is incorporated directly into the concrete to withstand all the stresses that the floor itself can withstand. With the same system that we install in the floor, we can also temper your wall surfaces. Visually, these shoring systems are invisible. Frequently asked questions about egger workshop heating
It is very expensive to heat our workshop. How do you manage to reduce energy costs?
We rely on panel heating with a parallel system instead of a serial system. This means: The advantage over conventional radiators or fan heaters is already in the fact that our egger system does not depend on the movement of warm or cold air. Because this is a very poor conductor of heat or cold. In addition, air can hardly store and radiate the temperature.
Compared to other surface temperature control systems (such as conventional underfloor heating), egger has the advantage of parallel water flow. While classic underfloor heating systems require a supply temperature of 35-45 degrees and more, the parallel egger pipes manage with 25-30 degrees. Heat generation thus requires much less energy.
We operate heavy equipment in our workshop. Can the egger system withstand this floor load?
Yes, definitely! If you involve us in the planning of your hall, we can have the system laid directly into the floor material (e.g.: concrete). Our heating or cooling system will then withstand the same load as your entire floor. Even aircraft hangars have already been equipped with the egger floor heating system
This sounds technically very complicated. Is it high maintenance?
No. With the egger system, we have succeeded in incorporating an almost maintenance-free system into the surfaces. Therefore, we even give a 20-year warranty on our elements that we process in your hall in the floor, wall or ceiling. Maintenance work is only necessary on your heat generation (heat pump, boiler, etc.) – not on the egger system.
