In Memmingen, a cooperation partner of egger Wohlfühl-Klima is currently converting the attic of its office building. What previously served as a warehouse will be available to the company “SKV GmbH” in the future as a cozy office space.

The total attic area of 120 m² will be equipped with egger registers on the floor, wall and ceiling.

Surface heating and surface cooling in one

Since employees also need pleasant working conditions in summer, the surface heating is also used as surface cooling on hot days. The process is particularly energy-efficient because no energy costs are incurred due to cooling.

This is possible by installing a cold generation surface in the ground. Since a hall for SKV GmbH will be built next door this year anyway, the cold generation area can be installed there under the basement and used for the offices.

Wall & ceiling are plastered with clay

When plastering the walls and ceiling is used clay. As a preparatory intermediate step, soft fiber strips are inserted between the pipes. This has two advantages:

  • Soft fiber strips lead to a faster drying phase of the plaster
  • Soft fiber strips reduce weight compared to other materials

The process is then completed with a total of three layers of plaster made of clay.

What exactly does SKV GmbH do?

The areas of application include single-family homes and apartment buildings as well as residential complexes. The choice of materials, including stainless steel, gunmetal and brass, places particular emphasis on durability.
